NOT IN A BIG CINEMA IN CANNES AS USUAL. INSTEAD THEY SAW THEIR WORK FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER DURING A LIVE GLOBAL STREAM

the entered companies each had one vote for gold, silver, bronze but could not vote for their own film. and the results are:

we usually donate some of the CANNES cinema door money to the fireflies tour which had to cancel its 20th anniversary cycle from geneva to cannes in aid of blood cancer uk.

THIS IS our INTER-COMPANY CHALLENGE TO CREATE THE BEST SHORT FILM ON SUPER 8 - WITHOUT EDITING, POST-PRODUCTION OR BREAKING ISOLATION - AND TO SEE IT - FOR THE FIRST TIME - WITH THE WORLD WATCHING

companies make a short film on one roll of super 8 film: with no brief, no retakes, and no post-production and put their name to it. films upto 2.5 minutes only as dictated by the length of one super 8 reel (at 24fps)

for the isolation edition, every company, no matter where they were and their local rules, had to abide strictly by the rules of self-isolation, as stated in this BBC definition

however and whether it comes out, the first time they see their film will be alongside the rest of the world, in competition, during our live online premiere on june 25

the entered companies will vote at the end of the screening. we donate the prize pot to the charities chosen by the winners
