HOW IT ALL WORKED IN 2026

• enter before all places are taken. apply using the button above, and pay your £850 entry fee invoice by return

• we then send you a unique slate number to include in your first shot, and the full rules which you must read and accept before you start

• you supply the camera, your roll of colour super 8 neg, your idea and everything you need to make it

• you send your exposed but unprocessed film to us in london, by 29th may 2026

• you upload your original soundtrack file, made ‘blind’, by 5th june 2026

• we line up your soundtrack with first frame of picture

• you see your film for the first time at the cinema at cinema les arcades, cannes - 26th june 2026, at prince charles cinema, london - tuesday june 30th

• win! - if your competitors love your film best. only entered companies can vote + not for their own film. voting takes place in cannes

entry fee includes:

• processing, scanning from world-class motion picture film lab cinelab film & digital

• creation of master pro-res file with straight 8 slate and your soundtrack (lined up with first frame of picture)

• an incredible team-building, creatively freeing experience

• a nerve-wracking premiere in cannes, and replay in london

• voting rights

• the chance to win a coveted shootout trophy

entry fee excludes:

• super 8mm film - we sell film

• camera hire / purchase - great super 8 cameras are easier to find than people think - check here. and we rent them

• shipping to cinelab film & digital in london for processing in time for deadline

• physical film spool return

• props, cast, locations, insurance, catering - everything you need for your gr8 film!

• cost of champagne for everyone you know when you win
